Meri Kirimihete from the Extra! fam.

Hello friends,

We hope you have had a great 2019. 

Time to say farewell for the year and thank you for a lovely, creative year.  What fun-packed, goodness we enjoyed this year.  Extra! covered topical issues such as, citizenship and human rights, sustainability and mindfulness.  There was also our space issue that celebrated 50 years since the first moon landing and our rugby world cup issue.  So much to cover in so little time.  The quiz events were jam packed and full of competitive vigour from our schools and students.  As well as student writing and our poetry and short story competition. Phew!

Extra! would like to give a big aroha hug to our host schools for the spelling and current event quiz events, throughout Canterbury, Central Otago, Otago and Central South Island.  It is wonderful to have such support for Extra! in our communities and I can't wait to catch up with you all again in 2020. 

On that note, click our subscribe today tab by December 13 (this Friday) and you will go in the draw to win a heap of books for your classroom or school library.  We have ten books at present and I will keep adding to the pile until we post it out to the winning teacher or school, January 2020.
